IN RESIDENCE HOTEL COSTES PARIS
Diane’s presence at Paris Fashion Week 2024 was a fusion of creativity and elegance, beginning with a three-day residency at the luxurious Hotel Costes. During this time, she provided bespoke styling and cutting services to an array of industry socialites, including Yasmin Suteja, Danielle Van Camp, Kym Ellery, and Joanna Palmaro.
Among the standout moments was Diane’s work on Yasmin Suteja for the Ganni PFW show, where she created a wet-look slicked-back bun that perfectly encapsulated the bold and vibrant spirit of the collection. This hairstyle not only complemented Yasmin’s ensemble but also highlighted the energy of the Ganni brand. Fashion expert Hailey Peppin captured the essence of Diane’s styling in her piece for BAZAAR, noting how the looks seamlessly bridged the gap between chic and effortless, aligning perfectly with the current fashion zeitgeist.
Diane’s signature “undone done” K-blow look was a highlight during her time at the hotel. This approach to hairstyling, which emphasises a carefree yet polished aesthetic, resonated well with the fashion-forward attendees of the week.
KIKO KOSTODINOV SS25
After her successful stint at Hotel Costes, Diane shifted gears to assist Oliver Schawalder at the KIKO KOSTODINOV SS25 show. This collection was a bold exploration of “nostalgic futurism,” drawing inspiration from the innovative styles of Pierre Cardin. The opening looks featured sportily piped viscose suiting adorned with utility details, which were elevated by rakishly eye-obscuring pillbox hats in striking Pan Am blue.
The models sported beehive wigs and silky scarves shot with metallic threads, creating a whimsical, airy quality reminiscent of “The Petit Prince”.
The collection also featured double-faced, bicolored coats that cocooned the wearers, with some garments incorporating inbuilt head coverings. This attention to detail further emphasised the theme of combining function with fashion. The hair designs complemented these elements beautifully, bringing an added layer of cohesion to the overall presentation.
Designers Laura and Deanna Fanning crafted pieces that balanced modernity with a nod to the past, and Diane’s hairstyling played an integral role in bringing their vision to life.
Diane’s time at Paris Fashion Week 2024 was a testament to her skill and creativity, leaving an indelible mark on both the socialite scene at Hotel Costes and at the KIKO KOSTODINOV show.
